Kick off the new year with a ranger-led and guided hike along the Red Trail. Join us as we explore history and nature as our first outdoor activity of 2026! Arrive at 9:00 a.m. to enjoy some " Cowboy coffee", hot chocolate, and samples of fresh, dutch oven-baked cinnamon roll bread.
GADNR Annual Historic Site and Parking Pass accepted. Moderate to strenuous 1.5 mile hike. This year our hike showcase the Pickett's Homestead and Wildcat Falls area.

Located Take I-20 exit #44. Turn onto Thornton Road. (Highway 278) Follow Highway 278 West for 10 miles. Make a right onto Highway 92. Travel North on Highway 92 for approximately 6 miles. Look for brown Pickett's Mill signs as you continue. Turn left onto Due West Road. Continue 2 miles. Turn right onto Mount Tabor Church Road. Travel half a mile and the site on the right.
