Sidney Lanier, the poet and namesake of our Lake Lanier, turns 184 this February! This hike around the lake is to learn about Sidney Lanier and his lasting impact on North Georgia. Meet at the Huckleberry Trail. Pre-registration is required; call the visitor center to save your spot.

Located northeast of Gainesville, on the north side of the lake. From Clarks Bridge Road, go south on N. Browning Bridge Road. At the “Y,” take the left fork and continue for one-half mile to the park entrance.
