Join our rangers for a special hike through the historic site and out into the forest beyond to learn about the Longleaf Pine habitat that was once destroyed by a century of farming and is now making a return through conservation efforts. Learn all about the vulnerable species like the Red-cockaded woodpecker that make this unique place their home.
Wear comfortable shoes for a moderate hike. Bring a water bottle and binoculars if you have them. The historic buildings require the use of stairs to enter.
