Each month on the night of the new moon, we hike out from the Visitor Center to reach a dark spot of forest with a clear sky above. The colder the better for stargazing, & on these moonless nights we gather together to observe & discuss the cosmos. These park-after-dark adventures are kid-friendly. Please pre-register & pay before 5pm day of event.
Come join our monthly night hike to view the starry moonless night! Meetup on the bridge at the Visitor Center. We'll hike from the bridge as it falls dark and will finish back on the bridge, vacating the park by 10pm. Please pre-register & pay before 5pm day of event.
