Wormsloe Public Archaeology Day

Staff and experts from the University of Georgia will be at the Tabby Ruins providing information and demonstrations on ground penetrating radar as well as LIDAR, both tools that help archaeologists understand and locate historical features that have been lost to time.

Archaeologists will be on site through the day to provide information and artifacts from previous archaeological excavations at Wormsloe. Ground Penetrating Radar demonstration will be at 10:30 am, a LIDAR demonstration will be held at 12:30, and a talk will be held at the Visitor Center event room at 2:00 pm.
