Volunteer Workday - Rogers House Site

Sunday, May 18, 2025 (10 AM to 4 PM)

Come out and join staff and local civic groups as we clear the Rogers House Site of debris and officially extend the large wheat field back to one of its original borders. This will be a larger part of our preparations for the upcoming 161st Anniversary Commemoration. Work periods: 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. and 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Please bring gloves.

The Rogers House was originally the southern edge line of the large wheat field during the time of the battle of Pickett's Mill and afterward until the early 1940's. According to official records, the house was taken apart and timbers were used by the Confederate Arkansas units to build a fortification around Key's Battery.

FREE admission and program for volunteers.
