Its the park's 50th Birthday! We opened our doors and heart to the public May 29, 1976 at 10 am. We've taken pride in caring for our natural and historic resources, and each other. Join us as we cut the birthday cake at 10 am. We encourage visitors to write and share their favorite memories at Sweetwater Creek or to bring photos from the park.

Take I-20 west from Atlanta, exit #44 at Thornton Road, turn left and go ¼ mile. Turn right on Blairs Bridge Road. After 2 miles, turn left on Mount Vernon Road and proceed to the park.
