Come and join us at Pickett’s Mill State Historic Site to make your own “housewife”. A housewife was a compact sewing kit used by both men and women of all classes in the 18th and 19th Centuries. It contained pockets that held sewing tools and accoutrements. We will have 2 sessions: 11am and 1pm. There is room for 15 at each session. Please RSVP.
Participants will have to sew and/or learn to sew their kits. We are asking for a $2 donation to the Friends group for supplies.
Admission: $3 - $7
