Learn the basic movements of kayaking on a safe and peaceful section of Lake Rutledge. Open to visitors 8 years and older who can swim and are new to kayaking (any minor needs to be accompanied by an adult). Equipment provided. Space limited to less than 8 participants. Event open to all public, including Girl Scouts.
Directions to the location will be provided after registration.
Please bring water, sunscreen, bug repellent, and a change of clothes or a towel. While this isn’t a rescue or tip-over class, you may get wet from splashing while paddling.
This class does not include any type of certification—it’s simply designed to help you get comfortable with the fascinating sport of kayaking.
