Learn about our Georgia State Reptile, the Gopher Tortoise, as we explore its habitat, range, diet, life span and importance to our environment, as part of our Statewide Wildlife Action Plan (SWAP) "Wild Georgia: A Plan for Tomorrow" and conservation efforts for this keystone species.
This is a walk and talk event, beginning and ending at the Visitors Center. As we will explore numerous Gopher Tortoise Burrows on this 1.5 level, full sun hike, closed toe shoes, sun protection and a water bottle are suggested.
