September 4, 2025 will mark one year since the tragedy at Apalachee High School here in Winder. Join us on Saturday, September 6 as we honor the four lives lost to senseless violence.
A 7-mile tribute hike will be guided by ranger & staff on the loop around the lake. Please remember your water bottle, and wear comfortable shoes.

Meet-up at the Visitor Center near the park entrance at 9am. Completing the 7-mile loop takes about four hours.
