The Bird Nerd's Feather Report: A Birding Basics Course

Come join our park naturalists on this 2-hour interactive hike through our bird sanctuary along the paved Wilkins Greenway Trail. Discover how many species of birds make our park home, and how many more are just visitors! You may see the iconic Great Blue Heron & the ubiquitous Carolina Wren, or hear the distinctive drum of different woodpeckers!

This month's target species: Owls (Eastern Screech, Barred, Great Horned) Next Month: Bald Eagle June: Osprey July: Bald Eagle August: Great Blue Heron These 2 mile guided hikes are fully accessible & pet-friendly, and depart from the Visitor Center at 8:30AM. Please pre-register.
