Welcome in America's 250th anniversary with a distinctly Scottish flair! After settling the town in 1736, the Scots of Darien would protect the new Georgia colony and raise patriots to fight for America's independence just 40 years later. Celebrate both the New Year and our history with a Highland hike and musket firing.
This hike is part of the Coastal Georgia “First Day Hike Through History” series, also featured at Hofwyl-Broadfield Plantation, Fort King George, Fort Morris, and Wormsloe. Earn special prizes along the way! Visit all 5 Coastal Hikes during the event and gain access to a special after-party at Wormsloe State Historic Site.
