Interested in expanding your knowledge of the people who lived at Etowah? The winter lecture series will feature four different lectures over the course of winter 2025-2026. We will feature different subjects in the fields of Archeology & Anthropology. You can expand your knowledge by listening to lectures given by experts in these fields.
November- Terry Powis- Cummings Site Local Excavation in Cartersville, GA (Kennesaw State University)
December- Andrew Carter- The Purpose of an Archeological Storage (University of West Georgia/ Waring Lab)
January- Keith Bailey- The History of the Mississippian Society( Retired DNR Employee)
February- Adam King-Etowah (University of South Carolina)
Refreshments will be served after the lecture.
All ages are welcome, however these lectures are geared towards young adults and older.
