Start your New Year with fresh air, coastal beauty, and a journey into Georgia’s past. Join our guided hike through the best-preserved Confederate earthworks of the Confederacy. Along the way, learn about daily military life in the Civil War, see how musket balls were cast, and feel the power of a live cannon firing.
This event is part of the Coastal Georgia First Day Hike series featuring Hofwyl-Broadfield Plantation, Fort King George, Fort Morris, Fort McAllister, and Wormsloe. Each site offers a unique experience and special prizes. Guests who complete all five hikes will be invited to a celebration event at Wormsloe State Historic Site.
