Boll Weevil Memories: The Bug that Changed History

The cotton boll weevil arrived to Georgia around 1920 and destroyed cotton crops around the state. In this program learn all about the boll weevil and its affects on Georgia's economy and the efforts that eventually eradicated the bug. Program will include a tour of the cotton farm and a boll weevil activity.

Historic buildings require the use of stairs to enter. The historic site trail is up and down hill, so prepare accordingly.
