Open skies and low interference from city lights makes our lake the perfect place to watch as up to 120 meteors an hour shoot across the night sky! Bring a blanket or a comfortable chair and watch the Geminid Meteor Shower from our Beach area! 6:30-9:00 PM. $5 parking.
The mountain gets very cold at night. Jackets, gloves, and blankets are highly recommended.
In order to see the meteors you must allow your eyes to adjust to the darkness for 20 minutes. Due to this, we ask that guests keep their cellphones on dark mode or put away.
We recommend lying on the ground for the best view of the meteors, but chairs are welcome.
Guests who are not staying in the park must depart by 10:00 PM.
