Saturday, Jan 31, 2026 (12 PM to 1 PM)

The Civilian Conservation Corps began construction of Hard Labor Creek in 1934, and finished their work here in 1939. They left behind the camp they lived and worked in, in which some buildings still stand today. Join a ranger on a historic tour through what remains of Georgia's only standing CCC Camp. Program geared towards ages 8+.

This program consists of a short walking tour around a historical CCC camp. Participants should wear weather appropriate clothing and closed-toed shoes.

This program is pre-registration only. Please call the park office to register.

There are no restrooms at the CCC Camp, so participants should use the restrooms at the Beach or Park Office before the program if needed.
