At first, learning how to use a compass can be confusing... Especially if you do not have a good teacher. As luck would have it, we are fantastic teachers and can get you started off on the right foot! Learn the parts of a compass, how to follow a bearing, how to calculate distance based on your individual stride, and more.
This is a free program, geared towards children, but all are welcome! Meet at the Patio behind the Visitors Center.
