Sweetwater Creek officially opened its gates to the public 50 years ago on May 29, 1976 at 10 a.m.
We have continued to proudly serve our visitors. Celebrate 50 years of Sweetwater in this 3 day long event.
Each day will feature guest talks and recreational activities.

Please note: Celebrations will be started at 10 am each day and run until 4. Each day will feature guest talks and recreational activities. Spaces are limited, first come first serve. There is no requirement to stay the full time, come for the events you'd like.

Take I-20 west from Atlanta, exit #44 at Thornton Road, turn left and go ¼ mile. Turn right on Blairs Bridge Road. After 2 miles, turn left on Mount Vernon Road and proceed to the park.
