Weather you're a dandelion enthusiast or can't stand seeing them in your garden, on this hike come join our naturalist as we discuss and learn to identify native and non-native weeds! We'll meet at the boat ramp at Campgrounds #2, taking the yellow trail along the shoreline to the dam, ~1.5 miles out & back.

On this hike not only will we be investigating what a weed really is, but also why they're significant and exceedingly important to our wildlife, prairie lands, and woodlands. As you adventure out over the dam we will learn to identify common native and non-native species, how to differentiate forbs, grasses, and other herbaceous low growing species. To top it off you'll have your own field guide to take back home with you!
