Led by our park Naturalists, this 2-hour guided hike takes us out from the Visitor Center, counting species & learning about their specific characteristics. We'll begin on the paved Wilkins Greenway Trail, with optional intersecting trails along a 2-3 mile loop hike. Please pre-register at the Visitor Center. $10 plus parking fee required. 770-867-3489.

This year, we'll celebrate Earth Day (April 22nd) on the following Saturday (the 25th) with our annual volunteer-driven litter pick-up hike. Please bring your work gloves, a trash pick-up tool (or two!) and a couple of hefty bags to join us on this important project. Come join us this May Day for a sunset hike through the forest along the paved Wilkins Greenway Trail ahead of the rising full moon. We'll hike ~1.5 miles through owl habitat, passing over the bridge that leads out to the rocky point at the fishing hole. Join us for a night you'll fawn over. You will hear moon lore, see some antlers and learn why this month is called the Buck Moon. This 2.5-mile guided hike is perfect for a first-time hiker. We'll take a northerly course with the rising moon in our sightlines. The trail is paved and the hike takes about an hour.
