Come join our stargazing walk on the night of the year's first new moon! We'll hike from the Visitor Center, across the bridge over water, and out to the rocky point at the fishing hole to observe the cold sky with no moon at all. This pet-friendly program typically lasts about one hour. Consider bringing a walking stick and torch light. $5 plus parking fee required. 770-867-3489.

We'll hike out from the Visitor Center in search of fresh fruit bodies. Learn identifying characteristics & special traits of the myriad native mushrooms, lichens, and even a few slime molds! We'll learn the basics of the app together, then take a hike through the rock garden along the lakeshore out to the rocky point at the fishing hole, observing species along the way.
