New Years Hike and Picnic

Kick off the New Year with a refreshing hike to Flat Rock with the Naturalist! Bring your family, gather your friends, and pack a picnic lunch and lawn blanket for a relaxing outdoor adventure.

Find your perfect spot on the beautiful granite outcrop, soak in the scenery, and enjoy a meal surrounded by nature. Along the way, the Naturalist will introduce you to the fascinating flora and fauna that call this unique habitat home. Come hike, explore, learn, and make wonderful outdoor memories to start your year off right!

This is a half mile hike in and a half mile hike out.

From I-85 North or South near Newnan, take Exit 47 Highway 34 (Bullsboro Boulevard). Go west 0.8 miles. Turn right onto Highway 34 Bypass (M. Farmer Industrial Road) at 4-way stop and go 8.2 miles. Turn right onto Thomas Powers Road and go 2.7 miles to a 4-way stop. The road name changes to Hewlett South Road. Continue straight 0.9 miles. Continue straight onto Bud Davis Road and go 1.9 miles. Turn right onto Flat Rock Road. The road name changes to Bobwhite Way. Continue straight to gated entrance of the park.
