It's the most common tool you've never heard of: the spear-thrower, or atlatl! This lever device is not only the historic precursor to archery but is still used around the world today. Learn about one of the most simple and effective historic tools used taking down small game: The blowgun! Blowguns were often the first weapon given children to teach basic hunting skills! From 2 PM-3 PM, visitors can spend time with a ranger and learn how to make simple blow darts from every day materials and test them out on 3D animal targets. $2-$4 Admission $5 Programming Fee. 770-387-3747.

World Turtle Day at Etowah
