March 3rd was a day that rang out in Cherokee history. Join our Rangers in the reconstructed Council House to learn about the Supreme Court case that changed history for both the United States and the Cherokee people. Court case demonstrations will also take place so visitors can learn how the Cherokee Nation emulated the U.S. Judicial Branch. $6-$8. 706-624-1321.

Join our Rangers at the Vann Tavern to learn about weapons that were used by the Cherokee prior to European contact. Rangers will be teaching visitors about weaponry commonly used by the Cherokee people along with demonstrations. New Echota is presenting a brand-new program series discussing prominent veterans of the Cherokee Tribe. The first installment will be discussing Cherokee veterans from pre-revolutionary history to the Creek War. Come learn how the Cherokee have contributed to the United State military through history. Hold the sauce, this is not the BBQ you grew up with. Join our Ranger in the middle-class cabin to learn how the Cherokee would dry meat over the fire to preserve for future use. Bring your Girl Scouts out for a day of learning and adventure. Join the rangers for guided tours at 10am and 1pm. The print shop will be open giving demonstrations throughout the day and visitors can make a souvenir page of paper, 1830's style. Self-guided tour option available throughout the day also.
