We're heading into the night to learn about the things we can't normally see. We'll hunt for scorpions by using provided UV flash lights. We will meet at the park office (Trading Post) to walk along an easy/moderate 1 mile trail. Limited to 15 hikers. Bring a flashlight and wear sturdy shoes. Enjoy a ranger led hike (1 hour) along our new beach trail as we walk by swamps, hardwood/pine forests and a controlled burn area. After the hike, we'll kayak (1 hour) on the lake looking for wildlife such as raptors, herons and migrating birds. Wear closed toe shoes, bring water, bug repellent and sunscreen.
