Mistletoe is looking for volunteers to help with work on our Rock Dam trail and Cliatt Creek trail. Drinks and tools will be provided but volunteers can feel free to bring their own. Work will include repairing damaged portions of the trails and cleaning up overgrown areas. 706-541-0321.

Service on the Sandpiper: Volunteer Winter Workday
Make new friends and join our group of volunteers as we
clean up the park. We will mulch the trail surface and cut back overgrown vegetation on the Sandpiper trail. We will
also be removing any invasive plants (such as Chinese tallow) we see. 912-598-2300.

Join Friends of Hard Labor Creek at the original CCC camp for an authentic CCC dinner. Retired DNR Chief Historian Judd Smith will share stories of the Civilian Conservation Corps, its impact on Hard Labor Creek, and the lives of the Camp SP-8 CCC boys. Proceeds aid restoration of Georgia’s last standing CCC camp. Pre-registration required. $50 plus $5 parking. 706-557-3001.
