Whitewater Watch Hike

Tallulah Gorge State Park - Tallulah Falls, GA
Watch this bi-annual kayaking event up-close from the splash zone! The hike is considered highly strenuous and technical as you will be traversing 800 feet of elevation up and down a 25 - 55 degree rocky incline. Bring water and snacks! 81st Commemorative Ceremony for President Roosevelt On April 12, 1945, President Franklin D. Roosevelt suffered a fatal stroke while posing for the "unfinished portrait" at the Little White House. FDR's Final Battle, April 12, 1945 Join Interpretive Ranger Ashley Aultman, for a 90-minute guided tour, highlighting minute-by-minute accounts of the afternoon of April 12, 1945. The tour will start with a brief presentation in the museum and a tour of the grounds and house were the events unfolded. Friends of Panola Mountain Extended Hike

Take a guided hike with a trained "Friends of Panola" volunteer, through the restricted Conservation Area and up to the summit of Panola Mountain. This is a 6-mile, semi-off trail, strenuous hike that offers a variety of beautiful views and unique perspectives on the park.
