A Friday night hike out to the dam to view the sunset over the lake. From park entrance (facing the Visitor Center), go left 1/2 mile to the 2nd stop sign. Turn right, following Yargo Camp Rd. 2.2mi. to reach the boat ramp at the campgrounds. Park & meet at the boat parking near the ramp. Sunset is ~8:30PM; program concludes at dark. Bring a light! Come down to Picnic Shelter 4 to enjoy some Friday Fun with a variety of different activities available each week. Activities include 2-4 player games, crafts, and trivia with a Ranger. We're heading into the night to learn about the things we can't normally see. We'll hunt for scorpions by using provided UV flash lights. We will meet at the park office (Trading Post) to walk along an easy/moderate 1 mile trail. Limited to 15 hikers. Bring a flashlight and wear sturdy shoes. Does your child love the outdoors? Our Junior Ranger Day Camp will be full of fishing, hiking, nature education, games, crafts, & more!
